Kale Chips

Prep Time: 5 mins

Cooking Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch kale leaves (1/2 lb or 1 lb)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Cut or tear up kale leaves into bite-size pieces. Kids can help tear up the leaves!
  3. Drizzle or spray oil onto baking sheet and spread the kale out evenly. Use clean hands to “massage” the oil into the kale to coat it evenly, until the leaves are bright green (15 seconds). Kids can help!
  4. Sprinkle salt, pepper & garlic powder evenly across kale, and then put in the oven.
  5. Bake for 10 min (Cooking time may vary), toss/flip leaves and put back in the oven. Check every 5 minutes the first time you make these. The leaves should look crispy and browned, and the kale will shrink down a lot. The “chips” should not have a bitter or strong flavor by the time they are done. Enjoy
