Lemongrass Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 lemongrass leaves crushed
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 cups water

Instructions

  1. Rinse your lemongrass to get rid of dirt and dust. Watch out for those sharp edges as you cut them. 
  2. Keep a pot for boiling water over your stovetop and add in your lemongrass leaves. This is also a good time to add grated or crushed ginger root if you prefer to use ginger. 
  3. Simmer your tea in the pot covered for about 10 minutes. Switch off the heat. 
  4. Strain the lemongrass leaves and ginger root, from the tea and serve hot with or without sugar.
